If you have children, the Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP) can organise free childcare so you have time to attend classes. Childcare is only free while you attend AMEP classes.
You can access this free childcare if your children are younger than school age or waiting to begin their first year of school.
Free childcare is not available for home tutor or distance learning students.
At your enrolment interview, we will discuss your childcare needs.
We will help you find an approved childcare centre located within 30 minutes of your home or the site where you are studying. However this may not be possible if public transport is not available in your area.
Many childcare centres have waiting lists. If your child cannot start at childcare straight away you can learn English with a volunteer tutor at home until you are able to start your AMEP classes.
